Apart from water, oil is the most widely used ingredient in the
preparation and cooking of food throughout the world. AJWA Edible
Oil processes and distributes various products under 7 different
brands for the domestic and wholesale markets and exports to the
region and Far East.
Yellow Corn (YC) and Soya Bean Meal (SBM) are the prime
commodities for the poultry industry where they are used as the
main ingredients in the pre-mix for the feed. AJWA Grain has the
ability to source the grain from the international markets and
control all the intermediate logistics up to the customers'
delivery point, anywhere in the world.
Other Grains handled are, barley, wheat, sorghum and faba beans.
Through its sister company AJWA Port Services, AJWA Grain handles
about four million tons of various grains per year.
Efficient logistics is the corner stone in the grain business
and AJWA Grain, realising this point, and in order to offer a
smooth service to it's customers the company has from the outset
established handling terminals strategically located in both sides
of Saudi Arabia namely, Jeddah and Yanbu along the Red Sea coast
and Dammam on the coast of the Arabian Gulf.
Rice is the staple food of one-third of the world population and
as such it is of enormous strategic importance. The rice silos
storage and processing facility at Jeddah Islamic Port was built
specifically to secure a sustainable supply of this valuable
commodity to the Middle East market. AJWA Rice commenced processing
and packing operations in 1995. The facility is ISO 9002 certified
and was rated the 25th largest privately owned company
in 2001.
Orouba For Food Industry Co. is one of the Middle East's major
new entries into frozen vegetables. The Basma brand has received an
enthusiastic reception within the local and international markets.
With an energetic and professional staff of 495, the company
processes approximately 20,000 tons of frozen vegetables as well as
1,800 tons of value added products.
